Future spending on healthcare will be missed, meaning less resources to deal with increases in mental health issues due to lockdown, people also omitting seeking healthcare when needed resulting in preventable deaths happening. Sweden was predicted to have a death rate of 40 thousand people without lockdown by end of april, current death rate is just above 3 thousand. Irelands justification for lockdown was the predictions of death without a lockdown sourced from the same predictive model. The predictions were very wrong yet lockdown still happens. No media or government official is giving any oppositing voice a platform or mentioning the failed predictions which caused our lockdown. It goes against fundamental civil liberties and looks too much like soviet russia. Neighbouring citizens are becoming suspiscious of each other and this creates a bad atmosphere all throughout neighbourhoods. The lockdown has created a divide between people that is not healthy. Many many other concerns about the lockdown via reduced immunity due to lack of exposure to other helpful pathogens due to obsessive sterilisation of environments. Covid 19 isnt as deadly as initially thought, which was indicated by dr.erickson of california through his and his teams own research yet this wasnt meantioned either. Lockdown was the wrong move, its time the irish government held up their hands and said "we got it wrong, lets fix this before we make it worse by allowing it to continue" the irish people can be forgiving and grateful for the honesty if it is presented correctly. Tony holohan was handed too much power while TD's and ministers did not listen to opposing expert opinions enough in order to form more balanced and less damaging policies.

This lockdown is effecting peoples mental health including my own and it is so unneccesary

There has been too much misinformation regarding the necessity for this lockdown. Our immune systems are already compromised and further restrictions will only exacerbate this. Protect the vulnerable by all means, and drive home through the media, the message that we all need to take Vits C and D and Zinc daily to support our immune systems.

I belive that as citizens we're not being treated as intelligent individuals and more like a mindless group of inept individuals

I believe that the stress of the lock down has caused more serious illness and even more deaths. Stress is the biggest killer, long before we heard of Covid 19. And the restrictions have caused so much more stress, and consequently more serious illness and probably more deaths, who is going to be responsible for all of this.

I believe we are not being told the truth about this so called pandemic. We have given away too much of our freedom and human rights already. We are being controlled by fear and this fear is being spread intentionally by our governments and the media. It is a disgrace.

We have been home for months now and our mental health is declining. We need to return to a semi-normal life again. Businesses are suffering and the mental health of our friends in Neighbour's needs to be addressed.

This pandemic needs to end now, with a death rate of 2% its hardly a pandemic, the media and government have done enough making the country so fearful

Because I do not agree that the protocol undertaken was the correct approach.

The lockdown is devastating the economy and the very fabric of Irish society. Data is now showing that covid is no worse than a bad flu. There is no justification for a lockdown or a need for a 'new normal. End the lockdown immediately
