Lets reopen disability services for our children..their time is precious

My family friends are missing these services and are stuck

Because I see the urgent need for intervention in my grandchild.

My child also attends Enable Ireland whose support has been invaluable and who helpe my little girl progress so much. Since therapy stopped she has regressed and will continue to do so.

I have seen first hand the negative impact, of lack of services during this pandemic on families and children with disabilities. Routine is key to these children to allow them to keep them on an even track.

So that children with special needs get the services they so desperately require and do not regress during this time

A number or people close to me are being affected by this lack of engagement with important services.

Because My neighbour Beth needs these services to reopen..

I have seen first hand in my work the effect that the closure of these services is having on these children and their carers. These children should be prioritised as they are so vulnerable already and the loss of these services can lead to regression in the progress they have made. It is a huge source of stress to care givers many of who have developed mental health issues because of the stress

Services need clear guidance ASAP to allow them to open to support their service users

My close friends children are affected badly by this closure. All have significant needs and get such respite and also progression from the services offered. This disruption due to red tape is putting all this on hold for them.

It's crazy that children in need of these services are being left behind while people are able to go for a drink or a haircut. Our priorities need to be reassessed!!

To bring normality into their lives again

Children’s development doesn’t stop during a pandemic. Other health care services are being delivered and it is overdue that disability services should resume. The most vulnerable in society should not always have to pay the price.

Yes it is very important. My 3 year old has been left with no services at all since March. She needs physio, OT and SLT. We haven't even had phone calls or video calls which could easily have been done.

This directly affects my friend and her child. I imagine there are lots of families at the end of their tether waiting for these services

I am worried about Children with Disabilities

Parents & children need this special care as everyday makes a difference to their progress

Please support this petition to resume disability services for children. There is no group more vulnerable and families have been carrying the load for the past number of months. We need action on this and face-to-face services MUST resume as soon as possible

I am a teacher. I understand how stressful and isolated parents of children who have additional needs/ disabilities feel. I also believe that if other parts of our economy can operate, there is no reason why these services cannot resume.

Concern for those in society with disabilities and are being ignored by government or local services.
