The Anti-Defamation League is a group that pretends to be a civil rights group, but is really just an Israel apartheid lobbying group. They worked against the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa (Frankel), and they're doing it again for the movement in Palestine. (Speri)
They also have been pushing through the halls of Congress an incorrect definition of antisemitism, hate against Jewish people, to also include criticism of the Israeli state. (Perkins) This directly undercuts real efforts to stop anitsemitic hate.
This group also runs the anti-bullying program "No Place for Hate", in which our school is a partner. They have no business teaching about bullying when they bully the Palestinian people and actively work against their liberation.
Austin ISD touts how they have "maintained the designation as the largest No Place for Hate school district in the nation for six years." Austin ISD doesn't need to rely on hateful groups to provide anti-bullying lessons.
Tell LASA, there is no place for the ADL on our diverse and inclusive campus!
