I'm Dutch, however, living in Austria since more than 7 years. In the Netherlands, the anti-smoking law has been active since 2008. Not only have many Dutch quit smoking, they have also enjoyed going to venues more and more, as it was not allowed anymore to smoke.
I have smoked 13 years of my life, quit over 7 years ago (yes, before moving to Austria) and I just can't get over the fact that it is still allowed in Austria to smoke in public venues. I refuse going to venues, just because they smoke inside and it is just disgusting!
Austria is a smokers nation. This should once and forever change. Mothers of children should not smoke near their offspring - nor should fathers. Come on, are you serious? When do Austrians realise smoking is unhealthy and just stupid and dumb? Come on Austria, get real, get cool, follow your fellow European countries and let's stop smoking!
