We ask that Tara abandon Welcome to Country and Acknowledgement of Country practises, now, and forever.
Պատճառ
There is no specific law or policy that makes Welcome to Country or Acknowledgement of Country mandatory for any single school event in NSW.
We pay Tara school fees to have our daughters educated to prepare them for life in the community. We do not expect them to be indoctrinated with politically motivated, divisive and racist agendas.
As such, these practises are inappropriate at any school, let alone a private Christian school.

I believe schools should focus on unifying students, not dividing them. We send our children to Tara for a Christian education rooted in faith and values. Including Welcome or Acknowledgement of Country in every assembly or event shifts focus away from that and risks promoting political or ideological views not shared by all families. It’s not about disrespect, it's about keeping school a neutral place where all feel equally included.
