Stephen MacGregor, has reviewed the petition and 25 page letter sent, with proposals from the CCC sub committee wrt to areas of flowers/ wilding, and monthly grass cutting. MSP Sue Webber has also met with a senior leader in the council.
I Stephen and walked through the entire area. He understood residents interest of the area, the need to comply with council wilding policy and the limitation of the parks work force.
How ever he has agreed to the following.
Verges cut every 2 weeks
Main areas with a high cur 4" every 6weeks
The flower areas every 12 weeks following a die back
The next main cut should be by the 10th of June.
The next meeting is with Stephen at 1.30pm on the 11th of June to meet the sub committee and other who may also wish the join, for a photo opportunity of the council listening and working with the community. The intention is a follow up article in the C and B News.

The discussion on the reduced paths widths, we can form a working group to cut and stack the excess turf, the council will then take this away.

Can you let me know if you can attend on the 11th of June, and those interested in being part of a working group.

Sue Webber MSP attended one of our resident feed back sessions, we need an other photo this time with Sue Webber, Friday the 14th at 4pm, with everyone welcome to attend, location on the grass adjacent to 193 Curriehill castle Drive. The follow up to this will be a 1000 leaflet drop to residents.

The next community council meeting is on the 12 of March, 19;30 in the Gibson Craig hall, we hope to have Stephen MacGregor form the parks department to attend, so we can feed back the comments from residents.

As the current petition has only 3 weeks to run, we will be commencing a new petition supported by an MSP, that will require a photo of residents.

A photo call has been planned for 10am on Saturday the 1st of February, adjacent to numbers 193 and 66 Curriehill Castle Drive.

This should only take 5 minutes and we would welcome as many as possible young and older.

Look forward to seeing as many people as possible.
