during my years working in the private security industry , the role of a security operative as changed dramatically, in my opinion. gone are the days when the main concern for an operative was good order and discipline or theft control , now wiith most venues guarded by private security the very real threat of terrorism is the main topic for any pre shift briefing .yet to my dismay the private security industry is a sham where profit comes first and securty second when will people wake up and realise this is not a joke these individuals who are some of the lowest paid personal in the private sector, cleaners receive a better hourly rate within some companys and as a result the majority of personal are not fit for purpose
