The current effective width of Anembo Rd is approximately 11-12m, which only just accommodates the volume and type of traffic it receives. Anembo Rd serves as a key through-way into Berowra and experiences high traffic volumes, including trucks and school buses. Additionally, vehicles are consistently parked on both sides of the road by residents and visitors throughout the day. Reducing the carriageway to 9m would significantly compromise safety for all road users. It is recommended that the proposed width be increased to at least 11m, consistent with adjacent roads and many similar roads within the shire. This would ensure adequate space for traffic flow and parking, thereby enhancing safety for all road users.
