Hellenic Village Sale Funds should be used to build a Cultural Centre for the entire Greek Community

The Hellenic Village property at Kemps Greek was granted to the entire Greek Community. The 21 Associations that work with the Unsworth State Government back in 1987 understood that they were custodial holders of this land for the Greek Community. It was clear from the start. 30 years on the current Board has seen fit to sell the la d and distribute the funds to these 21 Associations … some of which no longer exist … We have formed an Action Group to put forward a plan to pool the funds and build a Cultural Centre for the entire Greek Community.
