Weil uns diese Insel am Herzen liegt. Die vielen Kreuzfahrtschiffe bringen viel zu viele Menschen hierher, sie hinterlassen Müll, die Zubringerboote sind furchtbar laut, die Straßen verstopft und ebenso Skala und Chora.
Mit noch mehr Kreuzfahrtschiffen verliert Patmos seinen Charme. Es würde ein komplett anderes Klientel kommen, ähnlich wie wenn ein Flughafen gebaut würde. Bitte lasst Patmos wie es ist.
Schutz der Umwelt! Ökologische und kulturelle Beschädigung der Insel Patmos ist durch das Bauwerk und die damit verbundenen Folgen zu erwarten.
Perche’ Patmos - un’isola piccola e fragile, che fra l’altro e’ patrimonio dell’umanita’ per l’Unesco e Terra Santa per le chiese - verrebbe completamente stravolta e scempiata dall’attuazione del progetto. Sarebbe una catastrofe irrimediabile.

Ich war selber schon auf Patmos und fänd es für die Insel furchtbar, wenn ein Kreuzfahrt-Anleger dort gebaut würde. Es ist noch so schön rustikal und idyllisch u d klein dort. Außerdem kenne ich Menschen, mit Eigentum dort.

Diese Insel ist viel zu klein für diese Art von Tourismus. Die Infrastruktur wird völlig überfordert sein. Abfallberge werden das Resultat sein. Es wird der Insel selber nur Nachteile bringen. Das Geld werden nicht die Inselbewohner machen. Fasrfood, Touristen Shops mit billiger China Ware werden das Bild prägen. Die Läden, die heute da sind werden verschwinden. Die Gäste die, die Insel heute besuchen werden nicht mehr kommen.
Mal ganz abgesehen davon was es für die noch intakte Biosphäre bedeutet. Das ist ein wahrer Albtraum.
This petition is important to inform people of an issue under way that will significantly impact their lives on the island. The proposed project, if approved, will negatively impact the environment, character and quality of life on this historically significant island simply because of its scale and commercial mission. What’s more and ironically, the proposed project would take away the many reasons that make Patmos unique and a meaningful destination and home to many.

1.Patmos is a holy place, not a mass tourist attraction.
2. The local community will kot gain anything from tousands of day visitors (see Venice). It just destroys the Island.
3. The high class tourism who stays for weeks and consumes for tensnof thousands of Euros will not come anymore. Mass tourism and high class tourism don't mix.
4. Patmos is magical. You destroy the magic and make it a pit-stop destination

Der Hafen von Skala is sehr schmal und viel befahren. Anlege-Plätze für sehr grosse Schiffe sehe ich als sehr problematisch an.
