If the POOL vanishes off Lilydale's radar -
people from Lilydale and the surrounding areas of Montrose,
Chirnside, Mt Evelyn, Yarra Glen, Coldstream, Wandin, and Seville will
have no close access to an Aquatic facility. How can this be fair?
Lilydale is the Urban hub of Yarra Ranges
Lilydale is neglected – we have no community centre. There are very poor community and sporting facilities and no place for community organisations to come together. We need better.

Lilydale must have an appropriately sized aquatic facility that delivers swimming lessons, hydrotherapy, competitive swimming and diving facilities and other important community services. There is no way that such a large township that services a huge volume of the population now and ever growing into the future, cannot have such a facility the current location of the outdoor pool and the surrounding green space is ideally positioned.
