Petition addressed to: Wollondilly Shire Council
Pickleball is currently the fastest-growing sport in Australia. It offers an inclusive, low-impact, multi-generational activity that keeps seniors active, introduces youth to racquet sports, and builds strong community connections.
Unfortunately, Wollondilly currently lacks adequate indoor facilities dedicated to this sport. Local players are forced to travel outside the LGA or rely on outdoor tennis court conversions, which are confusing and frequently unusable due to wet weather, extreme heat, and scheduling conflicts with other sports.
Reason
We believe this project aligns directly with Council’s commitment to fostering healthy, active, and connected communities.
A dedicated indoor facility would not only support local physical well-being but would also position Wollondilly as a regional hub capable of hosting tournaments that stimulate our local economy.
I have created this community petition for local residents who support this infrastructure to easily show their support and requests Council commence planning in Wollondilly Shire.
