Why? This is important for all residents of this area. When will we understand that the continuing destruction of everything that makes this community the beautiful place it is will serve no one but the owners/investors of this mine. The numerous animal, bird and plants in this area cannot easily be replaced. The peace and livability of residents within this area will be forever changed. How did this expansion and any opposition to it have been effectively hidden from the public until so “late in the game” this, in itself, is despicable. I sincerely ask that any decision about this expansion will, at the very least, be put to the residents of this town who it will most affect. I sincerely hope that the people who will make any decision will keep in mind just what will be destroyed should this expansion go ahead. I sincerely ask that these people ask themselves “would I want this in MY BACKYARD.
