This site activity has taken a massive toll on residents mental health, and overall health since it was sold in 2019. The environmental impact is devastating from water run off, sand, silt running through the trees onto Kettle Valley road and onto multiple residential properties. Broken cracked driveways from commercial vehicles turning around in them or driving across the edges left for owners to fix and pay for. Tree cutting and removal that can be proven with root systems attached leaves no vegetation to hold back water or anything else that comes down from that site. Kettle Valley road is sunken from where the heavy commercial trucks travel. Dust, overheight, unsecure loads, jaking and non existent stop signs which can all be proven and remains an area of concern. Moving trucks passing other trucks also alarming and down right scary if your a pedestrian. The cemetery should also be taken into careful conseration with a water catchment dug directly above it. We are also aware of caveins that were reported. We've seen the catchment and it's on Cemetery land according to boundaries. None of this should ever have been allowed to happen to begin with and now they want to expand. That is a hard NO! Let us also not forget the woman that was hit on a bicycle and the dumptruck took off last Aug 2024 in the intersection of Kawkawa Lake road, and 7th ave where there are 4 stop signs and marked crosswalks. Safety through residential neighborhoods has never been a consideration for the wellbeing of anyone.
