To many dump trucks on the road me and my family walk and ride to school and town. While driving past the speed limit and riding the solid white line a loaded dump truck pulling a loaded trailer. Makes me nervous with no barrier for me and my young kids safety.

This site activity has taken a massive toll on residents mental health, and overall health since it was sold in 2019. The environmental impact is devastating from water run off, sand, silt running through the trees onto Kettle Valley road and onto multiple residential properties. Broken cracked driveways from commercial vehicles turning around in them or driving across the edges left for owners to fix and pay for. Tree cutting and removal that can be proven with root systems attached leaves no vegetation to hold back water or anything else that comes down from that site. Kettle Valley road is sunken from where the heavy commercial trucks travel. Dust, overheight, unsecure loads, jaking and non existent stop signs which can all be proven and remains an area of concern. Moving trucks passing other trucks also alarming and down right scary if your a pedestrian. The cemetery should also be taken into careful conseration with a water catchment dug directly above it. We are also aware of caveins that were reported. We've seen the catchment and it's on Cemetery land according to boundaries. None of this should ever have been allowed to happen to begin with and now they want to expand. That is a hard NO! Let us also not forget the woman that was hit on a bicycle and the dumptruck took off last Aug 2024 in the intersection of Kawkawa Lake road, and 7th ave where there are 4 stop signs and marked crosswalks. Safety through residential neighborhoods has never been a consideration for the wellbeing of anyone.

We reside very near this commercial activity and we are subject to all the negative aspects that will impact the quality of life for ourselves and the town of Hope if this is allowed to expand.

Although I’m a few streets over, I thinking as a concerned local neighbor to those who live directly in the path of potential destruction. I want to support my neighborhood and speak up for our rights to turn down an idea that we feel impacts the well being of our livelyhoods. I don’t want more noise, dust , reckless drivers, and safety issues breathing down the backwoods of our peaceful we’ll sought after Rural jewel. I needed to be present in the act of. I feel standing together we are strong albeit we might not be mighty in how we speak. Banding as a team shows the consideration of each others feelings and justified concerns. I’m afraid, most of all for the fact that we might stand up deflecting this idea and how bad it might become years from now, only to find out what we had to say was ignored because money talks. Please hear us and give us the chance to make an informed judgment based on the masses and not the money. These are but just a few of my reasons behind signing the petition.

Why would anyone spoil the natural beauty of Hope this way! It is a treasured asset for locals and tourists alike and so important to protect. The expansion is not needed here!

We often visit Hope to stay with relatives, and we love the beautiful natural environment. Every person we speak to says that Hope's natural beauty is what inspired them to live there. Please do not allow the expansion of this mine!

Because I live in this community. I would like to see it either defeated or scaled back. Its proximity to fertile streams and flora is very suspect.
The hosting speakers are all in favour of this project. There’s no expert hosts to speak for those of us who have a different perception of what this project may do to the aesthetic and environmental values in the community.
Not to mention the myriad of tri-axle dump trunks, that will invade us like a war zone.

This is horrible, it would ruin this little town of ours and make parts of the Kawkawa Lake area unbearable with the noise, dust and increased traffic

This project has caused significant destruction due to the company’s poor land management. The environmental impact is the most obvious and concerning issue, but the effects go beyond that.

The constant presence of gravel trucks on the roads has created a relentless mess of dirt and debris. Driving through the scattered gravel is not only unpleasant but also damaging—my vehicle’s paint has been chipped by loose rocks, and I find myself needing a car wash every time I drive down Kawkawa.

This level of disruption should not be allowed.

Am concerned about the size of the Gravel Pit.
This area was once a beautiful spot that friends lived in.
It was spot logged…a place of natural beauty… Access to Hiking trails to the entrance to Coquihalla Canyon Provincal Park …with the Othello Tunnels..Hopes main tourist attraction will be affected. It is already an eyesore…Do we wish this expansion on future generations for 50 years?

I lived in the lower Mainland for many years and those gravel pits ruin the environment for animals and people who want to preserve nature.

To stop the expansion. I live in the area and it has been terrible the past 2 years with the truck traffic. My 4 children would like to ride their bikes to school but it would be image with the heavy dump truck traffic. It’s sad as it used to be a peaceful safe place to live.

This project is a terrible scar on nature and on our treasured views. I've been watching it get bigger and bigger over the years. I didn't know what it was but now I'm horrified to know the cause. At my house on Summer Rd I hear the explosions from their work - the sound disturbs my peace and quiet. When I'm out on Kawkawa Lake, this ugliness just ruins the view. PLS STOP THIS EXPANSION. I see the constant line of dump trucks going to and fro the gravel site. They're noisy and leave dirt and dust on our road on Kawkawa Lake Road. I see gravel pits in other places along Highway 1 west of Hope. Surely, this company can access gravel elsewhere than on in our town and our mountain. Again, PLS STOP THIS EXPANSION!

I have been lobbying against this expansion and impact of the cemetery pit as we live on kettle valley road which hope redimix has used as a “haul road “ past our house for the last 5 years

I was born and raised in Hope. Both parents are buried in the Hope cemetery.
It will leave an ugly scar on this beautiful serene resting place.
Please stop the grid markings already being leave this burial area alone

I have lived here ( Hope B.C. ) for 36 years
Anyone who cares about this town and its future should understand the importance of our natural beauty we have here, & would like it to stay this way for years to come.

A bigger gravel pit would negatively impact the much used trail to Othello tunnels, Kawkawa lake and the surrounding residential areas.
