Petition addressed to: Lake Macquarie City Council

Please find attached a formal complaint and community petition regarding the
unauthorised development at 46 Silkstone Circuit, Catherine Hill Bay.

We request that Council urgently investigate this matter and take appropriate
enforcement action.
We also request to be kept informed of the outcome of this investigation and any
subsequent applications relating to this site. We ask you to sign the petition with your
name, address and signature so we can forward our objection to council.

Reason

The structure has been present for approximately five months and appears to be
used as an exhibition/display building without any known development consent. This
raises serious concerns regarding compliance with zoning, heritage controls, and the
Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

Thank you so much for your support, Len Corbett, Catherine Hill Bay

Why people sign

So much promised but not delivered by developer yet council has done nothing to ensure they fulfill their obligations. They could have refused final registration of land on the headland until the village shops were started but instead allowed them to register & now seem to allow a building that doesn't comply with anything that the rest of the estate were subjected to. If this doesn't scream corruption then what does?

Nature, coastle view, Wildlife

The building has been built on heritage land prior to any approval (any individual doing this type of activity would be front page new, questions need to be asked!!!), a company that has promised community development that hasn’t seen the light of day ! I live in the area and the whole thing is in bad taste of the needs and understanding of the community

All building in this estate must comply with the rules which ensure sympathy with the heritage buildings This box on the headland does not comply

Because this is an absolute abuse of space. What is the reasoning if this structure & why are the locals locked out of this space.
