We would like to make residents aware that outline planning applications have now been submitted for major residential development on land off The Green Road, Ashbourne.
The applications are for proposals of either 175 or 250 properties and can be found under the following DDDC planning application numbers:
26/00803/OUT
26/00802/OUT
PETITION UPDATE
A huge thank you to everyone who has already supported and signed the petition opposing development on this site.
We would like to reassure all petition signatories that the petition will be formally submitted to Derbyshire Dales District Council very soon.
However, even if you have already signed the petition, we strongly encourage you to submit your own individual objection to DDDC.
Individual objections are important because they allow residents to raise their own specific concerns about the proposals, including issues such as highway and pedestrian safety, increased traffic, pressure on local infrastructure and schools, drainage and flooding, and the overall impact of development on the local area.
CONSULTATION DEADLINE
The closing date for comments on the applications is:
MONDAY 31 AUGUST 2026
Please don't assume that signing the petition means you shouldn't also object individually. You can do both, and every individual representation helps demonstrate the strength of local concern about these proposals.
Please share this information with neighbours, friends and other Ashbourne residents who may be affected or who wish to have their say.
