My granddaughters participate in programs at this facility. Their privacy and safety needs to be maintained. Sex-based multi-use locker rooms need to be provided, with single use facilities provided for any member who feels uncomfortable for any reason in using a multi-use locker room.

Having no designated fully male and fully female locker room spaces is unsafe and negatively affects team sports.

The comfort of all members. My boys 12 and 13 have attended the Y on many occasions. I would no longer want them going by themselves if this change occurs.

Men and women should have separate locker rooms. Each should feel comfortable with changing without a concern someone of the opposite gender is in there simultaneously alone especially.

Men should not be in with women and children. It is bad enough that there is little privacy when changing clothes and showering. Uncomfortable!!!

As a previous member whose young grandchildren could soon be members, I want a women only space available for them.

Safety for those who would like designated space. Although we appreciated the universal locker room when kids were younger and my husband needed to help change the kids, my teenage daughter would not want to change in a universal locker room. Swim team use of the facility and frequently use the designated locker rooms.

The proposal has no stated rationale. The purpose has not been stated and this is necessary to have an honest discussion. Safety of children / teens is the primary reason for opposing what the Y is proposing.
