The military does not take sexual abuse or domestic violence seriously and no punishment done to the soldiers.
My 7 year old came forward about her father touching her on her vaginal area and it hurt and when she asked him to stop he wouldn't. Even with a rape kit, her having to go to therapy, avoiding school because was in fear that he would show up to hurt her, constant reinsurance that she was safe, hiding when hearing a bike drive by, acting out at school. Nothing was done about it. He is a soldier stationed at Fort Myer, VA. They didn't take it seriously and brushed it off. Doesn't surprise me because it took a Sargent major 25 rapings of woman to even get convicted and sent to jail. They just want to hide cases like this. 100k cases are reported yearly and they brush them off and don't take it seriously. This needs to come to an end and stop protecting a criminal just because they are a soldier!
