Petition addressed to: National Treasury Of South Africa

Make alcohol less affordable and accessible than essentials by increasing excise tax on alcohol , so we protect youth and reduce the social/economic cost.

Reason

1.Alcohol is too cheap → When beer costs the same as bread, more youth buy it. Cheap alcohol = more harm, hospital visits, school dropouts, and lost jobs.
 2. Higher tax = higher price → If alcohol costs more, fewer people drink too much, especially young people with little money.
 3. Money goes back to fix the damage → Extra tax can fund youth jobs, treatment centres, and community programmes

Thank you so much for your support, SAAPA, Mbombela

Why people sign

That will stop the youth from drinking f*** alcohol

To reduce consumption

Alcohol is the only exposure in the townships, even sports are not this exposed to the people. Only bars, pubs, tarvens ans clubs are the fingertips. Bring back creativeness, bring brack sport, bring back life without toxins.

Alcohol has destroyed so many lives and has become a norm or habit in people's daily lives especially the youth and we need to end its generational curse.

Because the harm of alcohol in our communities is real
