1. Launch an immediate, thorough, and transparent investigation into the deaths of the three dogs.
2. Lay criminal charges against Piet Geldenhuys under the Animals Protection Act and any other applicable legislation.
3. Ensure that all evidence, witness statements, and veterinary findings are formally documented and acted upon.
4. Hold the perpetrator fully accountable, including prosecution and sentencing appropriate to the nature and severity of the offense.
5. Affirm the legal and moral principle that animal cruelty will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
6. Remove all firearms and firearm licenses held by Piet Geldenhuys
7. His employment with public communication ceased with immediate effect.
理由
The killing of these dogs is not only an act of cruelty—it is a public safety concern and a moral failure. When individuals can harm animals without consequence, it sets a dangerous precedent and erodes the values of humanity, responsibility, and justice within our communities.
Animal cruelty is a criminal offense. We cannot allow acts of violence to go unchallenged or unpunished.
