Because it had to be amended to be unblocked due to breach of 1.4

New petition description:

The petition of the undersigned shows:shows that in my own opinion:

That the Net Zero policy is having a harmful and unequal impact, particularly on regional and rural communities. The rapid rollout of large-scale renewable energy projects—such as industrial-scale wind and solar facilities and high-voltage transmission corridors—is proceeding without genuine community consultation, appropriate planning oversight, or fair assessment of the social, environmental, economic, and personal wellbeing impacts on local residents. These developments are causing widespread disruption, land use conflict, diminished property rights, and growing community division. Regional Australians are being asked to bear a disproportionate burden for a national emissions target that privileges ideological and foreign corporate interests over the livelihoods, land stewardship, and long-term sustainability of local communities.

Your petitioners ask that the Senate:

1. Repeal1. Repeal the Net Zero policy.2. Immediatelypolicy.2. Immediately cease the approval and construction of large-scale renewable energy and transmission projects in regional and rural Australia.3. RestoreAustralia.3. Restore planning powers and land use decision-making to local communities and remove state-level override provisions, ensuring regional Australians are no longer subject to forced industrialisation under national climate targets.

A significant number of these developments are backed by foreign investors and billionaire entities whose primary interest is in accessing generous federal subsidies—not in contributing to long-term regional development or energy security.

Furthermore, the Net Zero policy has become a principal driver of Australia’s rising cost of living. It contributes to the dislocation of wealth, increased business costs, and energy unaffordability. In a nation that exports abundant primary energy sources such as coal, it is unacceptable that Australian families face some of the highest energy costs in the developed world—undermining their basic human rights to food security and warmth.
