Underestimates the significance of the Riverton Library in supporting early years literacy and adult digital literacy, and it role as a cornerstone of local life for over 40 years.

I understand how important this facility is to the High School and to the district community. My three children attended school there and I worked there. I know just how much work and financial assistance from the District Council went into setting up this wonderful facility. Elderly people used it consistently not only to find appropriate books etc but for a place to chat and communicate with like minded people. Young people used it to assist their young families and accustom them to the values importance and enjoyment of ‘reading’ and attaining information .
There will always be a place in this world for Books even though you might argue that technology has taken over.
