This decision was made without consultation with the community. Will impact Riverton District High School student access to important resources. will decrease equitable access to library services for the wider Riverton community, particularly those unable to trave to alternative library services. Underestimates the significance of the Riverton Library in supporting early years literacy and adult digital literacy, and it role as a cornerstone of local life for over 40 years.

Miksi ihmiset allekirjoittavat
Our community needs this. It’s a vital part of holiday programs, internet for elderly and social interactions
A former RDNS student (1990-1995), and Hamley Bridge resident prior. I relied on the library for information and connection.
We didn’t have the internet at that time, the library was my only way to understanding or seeing of other life outside of a small world. We had the fortune of a beautiful librarian that encouraged reading & learning. A library is far more than just books on a shelf. And in fact, it’s proving itself in a modern age as THE place of evolution & community. OUR libraries are a necessary home of refuge & reflection.
