Petition addressed to: Toronto City Counsil

To advocate for the establishment of a tuition-free TUMO Center for Creative Technologies in Toronto, empowering local youth (ages 12–18) with essential skills in modern technology, design, and digital innovation.
Why Toronto Needs a TUMO Center

  1. Preparing Youth for the Future: Standard school curricula struggle to keep pace with rapid developments in tech. TUMO provides hands-on, practical learning across 14 key target areas—including Generative AI, Game Development, Robotics, Programming, 3D Modeling, Animation, and Graphic Design.
  2. Accessible & Equitable Education: As a tuition-free program, TUMO ensures that every teenager, regardless of socioeconomic background, gains access to state-of-the-art tools, industry-standard software, and professional mentorship.
  3. Launchpad for Youth Startups: TUMO’s project labs don't just teach theory—they guide students to build real-world software, design published games, and develop functional prototypes. Across its global hubs, TUMO teens go on to launch their own tech startups, launch creative ventures, and build impressive professional portfolios before graduating high school.
  4. Timely Opportunity with TUMO Leadership: Marie Lou Papazian, the Founding CEO and leader of the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies, is coming to Toronto. Her upcoming visit creates an incredible momentum and a unique window of opportunity to demonstrate strong local community support and present our collective demand directly to key educational, civic, and corporate stakeholders

Why Toronto Needs TUMO
The world is evolving rapidly, and traditional classroom models often struggle to keep pace with modern technology. TUMO is a world-renowned digital learning framework operating across Armenia, France, Germany, Portugal, Albania, Ukraine, and Lebanon.
TUMO’s tuition-free, self-directed "walk-away pedagogy" empowers teenagers to take ownership of their learning across 14 core targets:

  1. Animation
  2. Game Development
  3. Filmmaking
  4. Web Development
  5. Music
  6. Writing
  7. Drawing
  8. Graphic Design
  9. 3D Modeling
  10. Programming
  11. Robotics
  12. Photography
  13. Motion Graphics
  14. Generative AI (GenAI)

Key Educational & Economic Benefits

  • Bridge the Skills Gap: Equips youth with real-world skills in coding, artificial intelligence, and digital design before they enter university or the workforce.
  • Equal Opportunity for All Youth: As a free program, TUMO ensures every teenager—regardless of socioeconomic background—has access to cutting-edge technology and mentorship.
  • Fostering Youth Entrepreneurship: TUMO goes beyond basic learning. In advanced project labs guided by industry professionals, students build market-ready mobile apps, publish video games, design branding packages, and develop working tech prototypes. These hands-on projects frequently lead students to launch their own successful small tech startups and creative ventures.
