Stop the Development of 12 new dwellings on the corner of Charles and Francis Streets, Hauraki.

• Residence that have been in the area for 40+ years struggle with the current sewerage pipes not being sufficient without the additional strain of 12 more dwellings. On the 6th December 2025, the sewerage system overflowed into the harbour.
• Since Cyclone Gabrielle in February 2023, the storm water drain in the reserve on Charles Street is well passed capacity. The bank fell in and it has not been attended to since.
• Increased strain on local schools, parks, and community facilities.
• Potential impacts on neighbourhood character, privacy, and residential amenity.
• Safety concerns for pedestrians, cyclists, and children due to higher traffic volumes.
• Geographic bottlenecks.
• Additional pollution into the harbour via storm water.
