I support active transportation, but River Road is not a suitable location for a bike lane. It's already congested, and removing turning lanes will worsen traffic, especially with new residential buildings adding more cars. This plan also creates serious congestion near the hospital. The road is too constrained, and the change risks long-term traffic issues affecting residents, commuters, and emergency services.

The roads are for all users, not just car users. Bikers and pedestrians deserve space too. Instead of complaining about your 5 minute car ride, try doing a 10 minute bike ride?

Hudson County residents deserve to be safer on River Road. In additional to providing a safe buffer for pedestrians and people on bikes, this will help calm speeding and make our county safer.

I think drivers may drive elsewhere to get to bridge and nyc etc, or limit drives to coast, decluttering the road and adding value to residences
