I love the BJ course
I played dozens of rounds at Bobby Jones and volunteered on the executive course for 18 months every Sunday! We need a fair , local rate for residents😳 This new course and funding should never be overly exorbitant to exclude locals that can't afford a high priced greens fee. The golf participation is for everyone, year round and must be realistic.
Tired of being priced out of everything in the city and county that was once affordable!
Because i don't want extension going through my Eastwood neighborhood!
We have played Bobby Jones for years . We would walk the course after 3 p.m. to get the reduced rate of about $15. The course was beautiful just the way it was. Now the fees are excessive.
This will be the course closest to me, but a huge disappointment of I can't afford to play regularly.
I enjoyed golfing at Bobby Jones. I would teach and coach disabled golfers and then take them out for a round of golf. I just don't think I can do this with the high price tag.
The city chose to reduce the number of municipal courses from two down to one, and now expect us to pay more to help support the part of the property we can’t use for golf. We already support this project via our taxes. Raising the rates for Sarasota residents is unconscionable.
Local course should be affordable
Rates for city residents need to be a lot lower. We paid for this course!
Because I'm a senior on a fixed income
Want to golf
Unless you have money a lot of us are unable to afford many things to do in Sarasota anymore.
Affordability
Too expensive for locals.
Golfing fee are too high for this course. Resident fee should included All of Sarasota and Manatee counties
Affordability
We are 40 plus year residents of Sarasota and now we are retired on fixed income. Please be aware of the year round residents that give back daily to this community.
Paid taxes and probably won’t be able to afford to even play in the gold course. Pretty ridiculous!
I am living on S.S. And cannot afford these fees.
I can afford to play, but what about the poor folks that are struggling to make ends meet. Their tax dollars helped to pay for this project and it just is not fair!
The green fees seem too high for a municipal course. As I understand it, they floated a large bond issue to pay for it, but should all the citizens help pay or just golfers? Don't all citizens benefit?
Fair rates to the taxpayers that funded
The fees are too high for local residents who want a municipal course.
As a Sarasota County resident on a fixed income I feel that the greens fees should be more affordable.
We have to remember that Sarasota is a very large retirement community
At the prices I’m hearing, play will be limited
I would like to support a local city owned facility but at a reasonable cost. The comparison should be Bradenton City owned River Run golf course
We have been waiting for this course to open, happily, using local tax dollars with the anticipation of enjoying the course. Now it’s too expensive.
I enjoy golfing. At 57 I am retired and cannot pay high greens fees. I have enjoyed playing Bobby Jones in the past. I also felt that Bobby Jones catered to the locals. Can we continue to care about the locals.
