I work at attack of the tatsu and at this point it is cheaper to get a ticket and pay for it than to pay a full 8 hours of parking for morning shifts. We work at a small business and it honestly only makes sense to get free parking in miller plaza for Jack browns employees and attack of the tatsu

Employees who are expected to be at work on time and be paid deserve to park for free in order to keep their hard earned dollars. They do so much for the city of Chattanooga by providing services to locals and visitors, they deserve to not have to pay for parking to continue to enrich Chattanooga and make it a wonderful place to live, work, and visit.

there have been many times between my peers and i where it feels as though we pay more for parking at work than we actually make and as a kid in college that makes everything so difficult

Parking prices were out of hand before it went up almost 200%. What was once $2 for 2 hours of parking is now $3.45. For those of us that have to use city parking for work, it’s now more worth it to get an $11 parking ticket than it is to pay for the full 8 hour shift of parking at $3.45 x 4 for $14. What sense does this make?

Often times what ends up happening since it’s a 2 hour limit, is we will pay for 2-4 hours of parking. Forget to pay again and then you’ve paid $7 + an $11 parking ticket. It’s silly and abusive of Chattanooga citizens who are having to pay to park to get to their jobs. No one should have to spend $20 a day to park for work.

I’m impacted by parking fees every two hours where I’m employed. Making sure that I pay my parking on time while I’m taking close care of my tables that I’m waiting on is difficult to manage. It’s not fair to my customers or my employers to see me on my phone paying a fee (which is about 4 dollars every 2 hours, may I add) when I could be paying attention to my job more closely. Worrying about seeing a ticket when walking out to my car after a tough day at work should not be something that employees should have to think about. Not to mention, many of us are hard working college students who are struggling to make ends meet by working tight hours in between long days on campus. We need all the money we can get to support ourselves and our families, especially during a period with such high costs for living.

My granddaughter works at festivals downtown and paying for parking eats up what she makes. We have to take her to work to avoid the charges.

It is simply unjust to ask employees to spend over half of each paycheck to be allowed to park their acr in their place of work. It is not sustainable nor is it fair to the employees involved.

I work at Attack of the Tatsu downtown and help provide people a place to come eat and who will pay to park near here. It would be nice if the person working (me) would not have to spend most of my money on having to pay to park to come work and provide the people with this service.
