We are concerned about groundwater contamination.
Solar panels should be kept in an industrial area or non housing area. The potential for hazardous and toxic waste is great to the wildlife., people and ground water in the event of a fire by lighting strike which we get often. It comes way too close to communities for safety. I don’t believe it’s as green as they say when it has to be replaced every 20 years. THAT is awful toxic waste- not green energy.
The proposed solar field is too large for this area and the solar field is not for our benefit but for a private company that is selling the collected power to other states. The storage of lithium batteries is dangerous and I am not comfortable living near this. I am also very uncomfortable about the damage to this wildlife habitat.
solar panels are toxic for the environment, there is a high risk of fire, lithium ion battery storage is highly dangerous, toxic and a fire hazard. there is no safe way to put out a lithium battery fire. this project has NO BUSINESS being anywhere near a residential neighborhood. Not only is there a fire danger, toxicity to the ground water that we rely on, they are dangerous for the animals that call this area home.
I am skeptical on where the money is going. We don't want this here. What will be the environmental impact?
I am directly impacted! The waste, the environmental impact, the loss of my well on my property!!! This is insane! Who would do this to their constituents!! Vote no now and always!
Because it is
We don't want this up here in rural areas where wildlife is threatened
I don't want a solar farm near me in my town or in my city and destroying the natural wildlife here doesn't matter to me what revenue it might bring my small town and the animals are more important for the economy and the ecosystem.
I live in the area to be impacted by this project. My family and I moved here to escape issues that effect our health.... That is why we oppose this harmful project to people, wildlife and our environment.
I was just informed by our neighbors that this project will be basically in my backyard. These types of installations belong in the Mohave desert or, better yet, not at all.
The reflection issue will be blinding.
PV solar array need to be in industrial areas storing electricity needs to be done in industrial places for the safety of the residence
This is a place for families, livestock, pets. Not commercial buildings, it’s the open land. Wildlife habitats will be destroyed, agricultural land will be removed. This is not needed and not wanted.
I dont want these farms installed on wildlife areas or close to residential areas as they are currently proposed.
We purchased a high priced home in the country to be in nature. We do not want this to become a major city.
Solar is toxic and inefficient. It is also a hazard to wildlife and destroys habitat. This is all about money not sustainable energy.
Solar farms are bad for the environment. Not a good source of electricity. This is just money-grabbing non-local business making decisions about our communities.
Do not want a solar farm in our rural area. There are to many hazards that come with this type of structure in our area (fire, you need special fire fighting components, the winds! the environment, just to name a few!). Our properties will be devalued due to this proposed structure. It would be placed near or on a fault line.
We own property in Yavapai County and have a concern for ecosystems, and safety of such a project. We are also concerned it will change the landscape for the worse forever. It will also disrupt all the native species.
I have friends that live close to the proposed acreage where the panels will be installed, these monstrosities will obstruct their view, lower their property value, take away much needed grazing land and space for the Pronghorn antelope to succeed, and construction of the panels will use valuable natural resources for the citizens living in the city/county of Prescott Valley!
The enormity of this site is going to ruin the natural environment in this area. There are so many better choices. It also opens the door to more sites and more wildlife put in danger.
Water rights are also a factor in placing this on ranch land.
I don't want the open prairie covered in solar panels or have a lithium battery facility that can cause a fire danger. Solar panels belong on the thousands of buildings in the area not ruining the landscape and disturbing the natural habitat.
This is right by my house
I have family members living in in Chino, and this solar farm won't even help people in the area!
Because it may affect our families and surrounding neighbors quality of life. It’s bad for all the wells, fires, and it will pollute the ground.
This solar field is too close to my community
I live in Chino Valley and have no desire to see an obnoxious solar farm in my town that will not even serve our town. The risk of wildfires is especially concerning considering we do not have the resources or the money to fight that type of fire. Loss of native wild animal habitat is also a major concern. The amount of construction that has occurred in the last few years and loss of habitat has had a detrimental effect on our native wildlife populations.
The water situation is also a major concern. Construction uses an enormous amount of water which we can't afford to waste and the possibility of lithium getting into our aquifer and polluting it makes my skin crawl.
I live in the Antelope Meadows development and do not want Solar Panel Toxins or radiant heat anywhere near my home.
I worked in the current solar field in chino valley for two months back in 2019. In those two months my health was affected. My head was fuzzy and couldn't concentrate and the symptoms lasted for months after. The current solar field did nothing to lower costs for residents but rather is sent strait to the Verde substation and distributed else where. I don't like the thought of ruining our towns landscape and risking our locals health for no benefit to our local populace. It does t even create jobs considering little to no work that would be performed would be subcontracted to local companies. It doesn't benefit the people just corporations and entities that exist outside of chino valley.
