Stem majors make up over 40% of the student body. If you remove them it resembles stripping the title of a university and placing it in the category of a community college.
I want to be a math major.
As a student who formerly attended CSU, cutting off the STEAM Program from CSU entirely is incomprehensible. Not to mention, I know and met wonderful colleagues and faculty and it would be terrible to lose the STEAM program and the wonderful people behind it.
Because I am a STEM major and don’t want my field to disappear.
My nephew transferred to Clayton State because of its reputation and the theater program. He is looking forward to receiving his degree in Theater.
It’s totally unfair for this to happen to anyone especially students who out there hard work in this arts like theatre and escape somewhere where they can express themselves!
Because my girlfriend has this major and it is important to not rip peoples goals and ambitions from them:)
This major should be saved it could affect people education.
I believe in the STEM program
I am stem major and this is important for me so I can continue my studies at Clayton State University. I will forever fight for this.
I’m a stem tutor at Clayton state tutoring in Biology, A&P, and accounting.
Though I’m Health and Fitness, it is considered a bachelors of science degree.
As a Theatre major, I am personally affected. Theatre and arts as a whole is being fleshed out of Higher Education all across Georgia. We are losing our voice to be able to use our voice in a creative way. Clayton State University is complicit for not fighting for STEAM!
I am a student studying Theatre at Clayton State University. It is a disgrace to the state of Georgia to call ourselves an institution of higher learning when these bedrock programs of education are being dismantled and disposed of.
These are important degrees. I know a couple of people who will get affected by this change.
I earned my Bachelor's here and I want the university to continue helping students succeed.
I attend Clayton State.
Why take funding away from education? To fund another Roman project? This is ridiculous.
I’ve attended Clayton State and have seen the importance that this program has for fellow peers.
This petition is important to me because it helps me make my voice heard. Protecting theater is important.
These are futures for young people
I am a Mathematics major as part of the Dual-Degree program with Ga Tech.
Academia should valued above dollars and cents. What we have here is an interim president trying to make a name for himself.
everyone deserves access to STEAM and it's so important to educate people in those studies. Everything revolves around STEAM.
This petition is important to me because my major is at stake.
I personally think the math department at Clayton State University is great and removing the option for students to pursue higher math at CSU wastes the talented professors at the university.
I don't want to lose my degree area.
STEAM is an important field to explore
I know many students that will be affected. The community will directly be affected as well.
I do not want to see my major be cut as I have been making strides in this field as far as learning and experience goes
As a Theatre major, I personally hate to see this happen especially when these programs are so essential to educating and building our future, but especially because others I know are directly affected to this disheartening situation.
