By signing this petition, I am urging the Placer County Board of Supervisors to:
- Extend your enthusiastic support for the new Truckee Regional Library
- Provide dedicated staff resources to the project
- Give Placer County residents in the Truckee Library service area the opportunity to participate in a bond measure for the new Truckee Regional Library

Our current library, built in 1974 when our population was 2,000, is no longer sufficient to meet the needs of our immediate library service area of over 20,000. The demand for accessible information, digital resources, and innovative learning opportunities has outgrown the capacity of our current space. It is evident that a larger facility is essential to accommodate the increasing number of patrons and the evolving services required to support them.
We have now reached a critical point where we must build a new library facility.
As the current Truckee library serves residents of both Nevada and Placer Counties, the new Truckee Regional Library will too.
