This petition is an attempt to get the Umsunduzi Local Municipality and the KZN Transport Authority to install ramps on the R56 in Pietermaritzburg between Westgate and Southgate residential areas to curb the accidents that are frequently happening here claiming lives.
Reason
This petition is important because it will help reduce the fatalities that take place in this road because of speeding cars going down the R56. Immediate installation of speed arrestors in this road is imminent.

I am signing this petition because the R56 road has become dangerous for students and other road users.
A student was hit by a car, and the lack of proper speed humps is a serious safety concern.
Speed humps could help reduce vehicles' speed and prevent similar accidents.
