These actions demonstrate a serious failure of judgment, leadership, and duty of care, rendering the principal unfit to continue in this role.

How can it be implemented?

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education must urgently institute a formal investigation and disciplinary process, place the principal on precautionary suspension pending the outcome, and appoint interim leadership to restore lawful, fair, and child-centred governance at the school. The Department must then proceed with the removal and replacement of the principal, ensuring that future school leadership complies fully with constitutional obligations, education law, and the best interests of learners.
