Petition addressed to: Government of Newfoundland and Labrador

Residents of the Bay d'Espoir area have expressed increasing concern for public safety due to the deteriorating conditions of the road between Head of Bay d'Espoir and St. Alban's. We are urging the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador to Upgrade the roads between the first bridge in Head of Bay d'Espoir and the Bridge in St. Alban's during this paving season.

Reason

Route 361 is a vital transportation corridor for residents, businesses, school transportation, healthcare workers and emergency services.

The condition of this roadway has significantly deteriorated, with rough pavement, failing shoulders, and hazardous sections that pose safety risks and contribute to vehicle damage.

Residents have expressed increasing concern regarding public safety, particularly during winter conditions when snow and ice further worsen the roadways condition.

The reliability and safety of this section of Route 361 is essential for regional connectivity, economic stability, and the well-being of the communities it serves.

We, the undersigned, petition the house of assembly to urge the government of Newfoundland and Labrador to upgrade the roads between the first bridge in Head of Bay d'Espoir and the bridge in St. Alban's during this paving season.

Thank you so much for your support, Town Of St. Alban's, St. Alban's
