Dear supporters,

Last week, we delivered our petition calling for the UK to join the Creative Europe programme to the UK Government at 10 Downing Street in London, backed by 2,962 signatures from across the UK and the EU, including 2,346 from the UK alone. More than half of you (53%) say they are directly affected.

The petition also received the incredible number of 1,134 comments, reflecting the strength of feeling across the cultural and creative sectors. As one contributor put it: “You cannot create in isolation. […] Give us back our European cultural community and our way of life.”

We would like to thank all of our supporters, most notably the European Movement UK, for their great support. And of course: Thank you once more for signing this petition!

For further information, please check our campaign website.

We would like to stay in touch with you and keep you updated on the Forum's other activities to improve the cultural relations between the UK and the EU.

Thanks again & best wishes,
Mafalda Dâmaso and Benjamin Feyen
Co-Chairs, Forum on EU–UK Cultural & Media Relations
