Thank you so much to everyone who came out to the Town Advisory Board meeting! It was wonderful to hear your thoughts, answer questions, and feel the support of our community. Below is a quick recap of what happened:
Meeting Recap:
We had a strong turnout, and the board asked for a show of hands from neighbors. They counted 11 in support and 5 opposed. The Advisory Board then voted 3–1 in favor of allowing us to keep the flying trapeze. While this is an encouraging step, please note that their vote is only a recommendation — the final decision will be made at the upcoming public hearing.
Next Steps – Final Public Hearing
📅 Date & Time: September 2, 6:45 PM
📍 Location: Commission Chambers, 500 South Grand Parkway
This hearing will determine once and for all whether we can keep the trapeze on our property. We spoke with the board chairwoman, who shared that support from direct neighbors carries significant weight in the final decision. If anyone is the neighborhood is able to attend and voice support, it would greatly help our case.
If you’re unable to attend in person but would like to show support, you can:
Send an email with your comments in favor, name and address to blairintheair@gmail.com
Or
Drop a letter with your comments, name and address in our mailbox at 541 Sari Dr. by September 1.
We are so grateful for the encouragement we’ve already received and hope for a positive outcome on September 2. We’ll send one final update after the hearing.
Thank you again for standing with us!
✌️❤️🎪
