It is important now more than ever to divest from the Israeli government to help disarm them. The genocide in Gaza cannot continue and Israel needs to respond to our call for a ceasefire now. No more Palestinian lives can be spared. The Palestinian people are hurting and are facing the largest catastrophe of our time. It is the responsibility of institutions like Warren Wilson and other universities to divest because those funds go towards war machines and weapons which actively are killing not only Palestinians but citizens crossed the Middle East. It should be easy for anyone to understand that funding militaries that kill innocent citizens is bad. How can you stand to be on the wrong side of history?
