Keeping this area inclusive of all people is important. I see more and more money coming into the area and pushing out the people who make this area special.
This initiative is extremely important and crucial in today’s day and age. New Hope is seen as a safe haven for many regardless of age, gender, race, appearance, etc. It is home to all, community for many, and it is now more important than ever to amplify queer voices and show representation of all.
Representation
New Hope has long been a safe enclave for members of the community. Today still, many of New Hope’s largest events center around this community. It only seems right to preserve that rich history in a modern way that will appeal to future generations, inspiring them to take an interest in that history and preserve the uniqueness that is New Hope.
The LGBTQ+ community is central to life in New Hope. Particularly in the emerging political environment, I believe every community should stand and be counted in its support of this community.
This crosswalk will publicly show New Hope and Bucks County's support for the LGBTQ+ community. Not only have studies shown that crosswalk murals increase visitation, they also improve safety - a win on all fronts!
This will create a landmark that embodies the acceptance and inclusivity that is part of the foundation of New Hope!
Let's show the world who New Hope is!

This artwork will be a visual representation of the amazing community of LGBTQ people who make New Hope what it is. As a hub of arts and culture, this artwork makes a statement that all people are welcome.
Everyone should feel a warm welcome in New Hope and Lambertville
I work in New Hope at The River House and supporting NHC is important to the community.
I believe this art will bring beautiful inspiration for those who belong to the LGBTQ community and what new hope celebrates
Because it is
This is a part of what makes New Hope special. We have always supported the LGBTQIA community, and this crosswalk will proudly show our love and dedication to continuing to support all I our community.
Family, friends and support.
I am a 30+ year resident in the town and I think it is important to have visible support for the LGBTQ+ in New Hope, especially in these times, Cities and towns across this country have visible street markings celebrating the community. New Hope is known to be a safe, accepting and diverse haven.
LGBTQ+ support
Pride
New Hope has always been a progressive destination. Now more than ever it's important to have Pride recognized out in the open.
I worked in New Hope for years, and still live nearby and visit. The visibility this would provide for the history of this town and the local LGBTQ+ community that carries that torch cannot be understated.
New Hope is a proud gay community, this show of support is an excellent way to put it on display!
I would love to see even more queer representation on the streets of new hope!
This represent our community that I live in and showing the community through art.
Keeping the queer community visible and front and center is vital to our community
Because New Hope needs one. Should have been done years ago.
Love, Art and Inclusivity!
We deserve more art in this town. Plus it’s something that is easy to put back to normal if we want it to be. Ex- to clean up, we pour more asphalt fixing the street anyway! Win win.
Recognition of the incredible LGBTQ+ history in New Hope is far overdue and only serves to uplift long time members of the community. Representations like this hurt no one. If you feel you are somehow negatively impacted by this perhaps you want to look inwards before coming to protest it.
Make new hope gay again
