Keeping this area inclusive of all people is important. I see more and more money coming into the area and pushing out the people who make this area special.

This initiative is extremely important and crucial in today’s day and age. New Hope is seen as a safe haven for many regardless of age, gender, race, appearance, etc. It is home to all, community for many, and it is now more important than ever to amplify queer voices and show representation of all.

New Hope has long been a safe enclave for members of the community. Today still, many of New Hope’s largest events center around this community. It only seems right to preserve that rich history in a modern way that will appeal to future generations, inspiring them to take an interest in that history and preserve the uniqueness that is New Hope.

The LGBTQ+ community is central to life in New Hope. Particularly in the emerging political environment, I believe every community should stand and be counted in its support of this community.

This crosswalk will publicly show New Hope and Bucks County's support for the LGBTQ+ community. Not only have studies shown that crosswalk murals increase visitation, they also improve safety - a win on all fronts!

This artwork will be a visual representation of the amazing community of LGBTQ people who make New Hope what it is. As a hub of arts and culture, this artwork makes a statement that all people are welcome.

This is a part of what makes New Hope special. We have always supported the LGBTQIA community, and this crosswalk will proudly show our love and dedication to continuing to support all I our community.

I am a 30+ year resident in the town and I think it is important to have visible support for the LGBTQ+ in New Hope, especially in these times, Cities and towns across this country have visible street markings celebrating the community. New Hope is known to be a safe, accepting and diverse haven.

I worked in New Hope for years, and still live nearby and visit. The visibility this would provide for the history of this town and the local LGBTQ+ community that carries that torch cannot be understated.

We deserve more art in this town. Plus it’s something that is easy to put back to normal if we want it to be. Ex- to clean up, we pour more asphalt fixing the street anyway! Win win.

Recognition of the incredible LGBTQ+ history in New Hope is far overdue and only serves to uplift long time members of the community. Representations like this hurt no one. If you feel you are somehow negatively impacted by this perhaps you want to look inwards before coming to protest it.
