I grew up in Hopewell and New Hope was always a safe haven for queer people. Growing up queer and having spaces you know proudly and openly accept you is essential. This art is representative of that and the queer and ally communities that were and are the backbone of the New Hope.

I would love to see the rainbow display to remind visitors and residents that New Hope has historically been an inclusive and gay town.

It’s important for the essence, soul, and history of the town and what the town has represented for decades. It was, and must continue to be an oasis for acceptance, unity, and love.

Celebrates diversity, openness, inclusion and belonging. New Hope welcomes everyone and this is a great, public demonstration of that acceptance and love.

I believe it would be a welcomed sight. New Hope has been a mecca for inclusivity. My family and I have been visiting the town for over the last decade and plan to continue to do so. The pride flag would be a great stride in continuing new hopes legacy of acceptance and being a safe place.

Because I support equal right for everyone and being a member of the Art community I think more Art is always a good idea!

Because the elected officials have not permitted a rainbow cross walk and it’s deafening. It’s a disgrace that a petition is even being required. Show some support because our taxes are funding the town and many of us don’t even send children to the school. This is about inclusion and representation.
