This is importantly especially now, in the current political climate, to stand up for inclusivity and to be loud and proud about it!
Save the town from corporate greediness, we want our town to remain the artist colony it is. The diversity here is not.something you can replicate. We have been out there, different unique and cool LONG before any other town in the US with the exception of a few! That’s why we are a tourist town on the weekends. People love this town as do I.
I see it's importance to our community and welcoming those who are visiting
New Hope's cultural significance and place in the history of LBGTQ+
New Hope is so much fun and we love how gay pride is such a big part of new hope
We need this more than ever
It promotes acceptance and tolerance!
This town has long been a safe haven for the LGBTQ+ community and embracing that and publicly showing our support is important!
As a transportation planning enthusiast and ally I’d love to see this!
Thank you for this incredible art of love and light! We are growing into a more accepting and open heart 💜 time in the world. ‘New Hope’, how could we not have a rainbow street here? We literally are the town of NEW HOPE and letting everyone who comes through know and feel acceptance and love is why my Husband and I moved here and the incredible landscape and beautiful history of New Hope and Bucks County - thank you thank you and God Bless!
I identify as gay
Fierce and proud ally of our community - visibility is important, Pride should never have to hide ever again
I used to live in Lambertville and I support equality.
W. Mechanic has the high heel drag race every year!!! This would be an amazing addition to New Hope
In my brother’s memory and to keep acceptance alive.
Something like this installation is unique and will end up being posted online which will bring in additional visitors, hence more revenue for the town.
I have been an ally for decades and this embodies who we are, who we support, and who we accept in our community.
The LGBTQ+ community has a large presence in the area and are an important part of the history of New Hope. This kind of art will celebrate that history and provide a sense of safety and belonging. For everyone.
To keep the LGBTQ + community visible in a town where it has furnished and been supported since the 1980s.
I live in the area and think this would be an amazing addition to our community
Love is love
Just a fabulous idea for making New Hope beautiful
Because I want to support my friends and community
Because New Hope represents Diversity and community
I believe in the power of public art to affirm and encourage values like welcoming, inclusion, and positive regard.
I’ve lived in Lambertville for a few years and this part of the community, this inclusivity, is so important to so many!
i’m gay!!
It’s vitally important for the community to have a visibly safe space where we can live authentically and without fear, and be supported by our amazing New Hope/Lambertville allies. We want visitors to know we are an inclusive community and won’t entertain a modicum of hate. This symbol is long overdue.
Diversity
As a long time New Hope resident, and a resident of West Mechanic Street, I think this will be a great addition to our street and showcase the town’s support of the LGBTQ+ community.
