i’ve known Max for a long time and it’s kind of ridiculous because this is part of the nightlife that people love having good good food there’s never a problem with alcohol being served everywhere else after midnight that will cause crashes and disorderly conduct in all kinds of other things, but to say that food trucks are a nuisance because they’re small businesses trying to survive and they’re open late for people who are getting out of the bar who need food is ridiculous especially when it’s for everyone outside of the city but downtown they don’t have to stop. This is all political and trying to stop someone who’s trying to make a living, causing the problems, not even loud noise and saying it’s because of groups of people it’s ridiculous this is part of the nightlife culture having really good food even when you’re done drinking out of the bar or just passing through and there’s nothing open and want some good food besides McDonald’s this is a really good place to eat. Maybe you guys should try it out it would change your mind

Bc this ordinances are absolutely ridiculous and the mayor is personally attacking any and everyone related to nightlife or the experience restaurants included

Petition to Allow Extend Operating Hours for Maxtro Food truck.

We, the undersigned, respectfully petition to keep Maxtros open later than 12 P.M. to continue serving the community. Maxtros has become a beloved staple in our area, offering delicious, high-quality food to both locals and visitors. Closing at midnight limits access for people who work late hours, have irregular schedules, or simply want to enjoy a late-night meal.

By allowing the food truck to stay open later, it will not only meet the demand for late-night food options but also support local businesses, provide jobs, and contribute to the vibrant food culture in our community. Extending the hours would benefit those who rely on late-night food vendors and enhance the overall appeal of our area.

We urge city of Orlando to reconsider the 12 P.M. closing time and allow Maxtros to remain open longer to better serve the public and support the needs of the community.

Thank you for your consideration .

It is important to me because food trucks in general are more than just mobile eateries—they are vital threads in the fabric of our local economy, culture, and community connection. Shutting down Maxtros and other trucks disrupts not just the livelihoods of small business owners but also the social spaces they create for our neighbors. Food trucks support local economies by creating jobs and partnerships with local farmers and food producers. They are also accessible, affordable, and welcoming spaces for all residents, no matter their background. We cannot let these small businesses close without fighting to protect their role in our community’s vitality.

I’m writing to express my concern over the city’s proposal to shut down food trucks after midnight. This decision impacts not only the food truck owners, like my friend, who depend on their businesses to make a living, but also the community at large.

Food trucks provide an essential service by offering convenient, affordable, and diverse food options during late hours when other dining options are often unavailable. They serve workers on late-night shifts, students studying into the night, and others who rely on these vendors for meals. Far from being a nuisance, food trucks contribute to the vibrancy of the city by creating safe, well-lit spaces that foster community.

Additionally, many food truck owners are small business operators who work tirelessly to build their livelihoods. Restricting their operating hours will directly harm their income and reduce the diversity of food choices in the city. These businesses are vital to the local economy, providing jobs and enriching our culture.

I urge the city to reconsider this proposal and work collaboratively with food truck operators to address any concerns without resorting to a blanket restriction.

I work late at restaurants and late night food trucks are where I eat my dinner!! I became a regular at maxtros and look forward to clocking out and grabbing dinner with great people working in the truck

Maxtro’s is a great food truck serving delicious burgers to the citizens of Orlando in the late night hours after the bars close. They’re the perfect spot to hit after a night out, and a place to sober up if you’ve been drinking. They cause no harm to anyone, and are loved by everyone who goes to eat there. These new ordinances do not do anything for the safety of the citizens of Orlando. The only result of these ordinances will be food trucks such as Maxwell’s losing business and possibly having to move to another city in order to stay afloat. This is unacceptable and a terrible decision by city council. These ordinances must be repealed at once.

Maxtros Needs To Stay. Food Vendors After Midnight Help People During The Late Hours Get Food They Need While Also Helping Small Business. It Benefits Everyone. Money Flows

Economic Opportunity: Mobile food vendors are often small businesses or independent entrepreneurs who rely on their mobility and flexibility to reach customers. Restricting their ability to operate or imposing excessive regulations can threaten their livelihood, especially in a city like Orlando, where tourism and events drive demand for diverse food options.
Consumer Choice and Access: Unfair regulations can limit consumer choice, reducing the variety and availability of food options in the city. Mobile food vendors provide unique, affordable, and culturally diverse food experiences, which are essential to enhancing the local food scene and serving different community needs.
Entrepreneurial Freedom: Entrepreneurs should have the freedom to create and grow their businesses without unnecessary bureaucratic obstacles. Overly restrictive regulations may deter potential small business owners from entering the market, stifling innovation and economic growth.
Community and Cultural Benefits: Mobile food vendors often bring a sense of community, offering a space for social interaction and promoting cultural exchange through food. By resisting unjust regulations, consumers help preserve this vital aspect of urban life and ensure that the city remains a welcoming place for cultural expression.
Fairness and Equity: If the regulations disproportionately affect smaller or minority-owned vendors, fighting back becomes a matter of fairness and equity. Ensuring that all vendors have a fair chance to succeed is essential for creating a diverse and thriving local economy.
By standing up against unjust regulations, consumers not only protect their right to access affordable and diverse food options but also support small businesses, foster cultural diversity, and promote a more equitable and vibrant city.

The decision to restrict all food trucks in city limits, excluding the trucks that are directly in Downtown Orlando is unfair and unjust to all the other phenomenal food trucks in this city that keep us pushing as the #1 foodie city in the country. The people here love the accessibility to late night food that is great and is not some garbage like McDonalds or Wendys. It’s not only unfair to the food vendors and messes with their business but it’s also unfair to the people of this city who genuinely love the food that comes out of these great trucks.

Traveling to Orlando I love having the options of going to food trucks open late which is usually when me and my people can enjoy different local options while supporting small businesses

i don’t like when small businesses get screwed over. the small businesses in orlando help run this city and make this city so special. our city is full of beautiful hard working individuals that bring joy and help create memories. food trucks are an awesome way to get people to come outside, grab some food and hang out with the community. and maxtros specifically has always made everyone feel safe and welcome and has even given out free food to those in need. they take care of their people. and they always make sure everyone is happy and okay. the cool thing about maxtros is that it’s not just about burgers. it’s about community.

In a city that emphasizes the uniqueness and character of what makes it Beautiful, we seem to have lost the spark. Our city government officials continue to hurt small local businesses to bend over to those that have no care for our history and spirit.
So many great people and business who LOVE and support Orlando keep getting red flagged by knee !@#$! reaction legislation. This needs to end. Keep the food trucks.

As somebody that works late hours, there are no late night food options besides fast food. Limiting the hours of food trucks will not only hurt the business of hard working vendors but hurt customers like me that basically survive off late night food trucks.

Me and my family eat here all the time after work which is 1am-2am also enjoy supporting young buisiness men that do great for the community!

Being a chef myself— this ordinance will push people to continue to gather in more un safe settings in late hours.

Food trucks especially outside of downtown, provide a safe space for people getting good food and building community outside of the club settings.
Maxtros is a great example of that.
Everyone gathers under the night sky to support small business and simply eat good food made with passion & love.

Food trucks such as Maxtro’s are here to bring the community together. They offer a sense of safety and comfort to the customers and supporters.

Because maxtros is an amazing establishment. Their food has held this community together for its wholesomeness. The owner maxtro puts so much love into his craft and the food speaks for itself

It important to have foods trucks after the bars closes , help pple who are a lil drunk to sober up , food trucks are important .

Food trucks are part of what makes this city a vibrant place to visit. I love to come home to Orlando and experience the new and exciting foods on offer, especially late nights when there are no other options.

Why shut down food trucks when they never made an issue. I feel like food truck should not be closed down early they don’t cause no harm to anyone!
