I have an Autistic son who is in a special needs class, all kids deserve everything that we can do for them!!!
This is the way
Because our granddaughter is in it and this is a well structured program that works her.
My best friend is part of this work force
I am a mother of a child in this program.
Fair education
Family goes to this school.
My grandchildren and nieces and nephews go to the school system that my daughters went to when they were in school and some of them have special needs
It's important that we take care of those who can't fend for themselves.
I have family that are special need and i know how useful these programs can be.
Me my self being diagnosed with autism at a young age and having these types of programs available to me really helped out with not just school but in life
This petition is important to me because these parents who have their special needs children in this lighthouse class really depend on it.
Because my niece is autistic and you bad people are removing special classes from her . Everyone is going to here about this
My daughter is part of this program and it will affect her a lot.
The children with special needs need all the support they can get. The district is saying the children will have supports in the classroom but then they provide the minimum supports regardless of the learning needs of the student or the effect on the learning environment. If the Lighthouse works, why change it?
I have two special needs boys one each school building these kids need this proito stay
This program involves a family member and sounds like an excellent program that should be continued.
Lighthouse offers a much needed learning program for the special need child I personally know & her mates in this classroom.
The Lighthouse program is so important and beneficial to autistic students who are unable to thrive in larger sized classrooms. The small student to teacher/parapro ratio is detrimental to their success and chances of progression. Austintown schools do NOT provide enough staff/classroom help to ensure students on an IEP get the additional help and support they need. Taking away Lighthouse is setting up autistic individuals who require more 1:1 attention for automatic failure/regression.
My wife was a special education teacher and we value it’s importance!
I do not agree with this special classroom being taken away from the kids
My daughter has ADHD and has benefited greatly from the services provided by AES. It's so important to do what we can to help kids who are neurodivergent succeed in school, and Lighthouse is an integral part of that.
As a special education teacher for many years, I can say, without a doubt, these small room classrooms are essential for the growth and development of our unique special needs students.
Austintown has a habit of shipping higher needs kids to other schools, it’s time to educate them effectively at home.
I worked in the Lighthouse program a couple of years ago it helps children with special needs so much!
Kids with special needs need small classrooms and focused care
I too have a child who is autistic and non verbal. Don't abandon our special needs children
These kids need this program
My granddaughter loves this program. The teachers are fantastic and I hope it can continue.
Have autistic grandson
I have a son diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and need extra assistance with smaller groups.
