Given global warming and other ecological changes on Earth migration has changed.
By adjusting the waterfowl hunting season in Missouri to reflect these changes we can practice more sensible hunting.The patterns of waterfowl play a crucial to ecological balance and biodiversity. Migratory animals rely on specific routes and habitats during their journeys given the weather. Unfortunately, the current hunting season fails to account for these migratory patterns adequately. By modifying the hunting season, we can better accommodate the natural migration cycles of various species. This adjustment would allow hunters to engage in sensible hunting.

With our climate change we don’t get to have but a good week to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family taking part in the goose season

As an avid waterfowl hunter we have been seeing this for years now and it needs to switch.

To help with our hunting season. The geese do not show up till late January-February as Nicholas stated above. It would be beneficial to all waterfowl hunters if the season started later.

Goose season simply starts to early and we don’t have any geese show up till December. There are always good numbers around at the end of the season so we need to move the start date back and tack the days to the end of the season.

I don’t even see a need to get into house hunting since the population doesn’t show up until the last two weeks.

As a hunter, seasonal success is declining in both dark goose and regular duck seasons. Cold weather is not arriving until later and later each year, keeping birds from making their full migration through the flyway.
