My brother, who is now handicap lives on this road. It's ridiculously rough to travel. Not mentioning what it's doing to these residents vehicles!
My close family lives on Canton and I'm regularly traveling from Clarksburg to Canton in my small sedan. The ride constantly consists of driving super slow and swerving back and forth on the road to avoid hitting pot holes and to prevent gravel from coming back up and hitting the underside of my car. Not to mention if I'm following another car there's a huge amount of dust that is thrown up in the air that I have to go through the whole time we're on the road.
Because I traveled this road daily to go to work or to town and it is literally destroying my vehicle. My wife’s car drags because of the high center of gravel. It is ridiculous. The last time they came out and attempted to fix it they just brought a whole Lotta gravel pushed a little bit of stuff around and made the road in worse condition than what it was before.
I travel this road a couple times a month. I can’t tell people how to get here because all the signs have been removed. The road is in horrible condition. The puddles are big and deep even for a four-wheel-drive truck to drive safely on. The crick also floods the road out when it rains heavy.
Family lives on road
I used to live down in west union and I still to this day visit family but I always have to pass through canton road. Going on that road I unfortunately scrape every time. And dodging holes is too common; as is slowing down to an almost stop just to make it through that section of the “road”
Live on that road.
Because my family lives out that road it was terrible along time ago now I can only imagine how it is now with all the oil field trucks
