Lake Saint Louis Blvd extension will destroy our walking trail, wildlife, and our quiet, private neighborhood.

This extension serves no real benefit to the area, but has plenty of adverse effects. There is already existing access north/south from Hwy. N to Hwy. DD via Sommers Rd. The intersection of Hwy. DD and Sommers is less than a mile from the intersection of Diehr Rd. and Hwy. DD, where this proposed extension will terminate. There is no reason for another thoroughfare this close to Sommers Rd. This extension only creates more noise, increases light pollution, removes greenspace and a walking trail, reduces wildlife, invites crime, and disrupts two already established neighborhoods. It's a complete waste of taxpayer money!

We moved to this area to enjoy the quiet and serenity 18 years ago and suddenly it feels overrun with traffic and riffraff! Our beautiful area is being bulldozed and taken over! Make it stop!

There is too much overdevelopment taking place in this area. The benefits of the road will not surpass the damage to the environment. Wildlife is quickly losing any place to live.

There are many exits and access points to Hwy DD and LSL boulevard all within a mile of each other. Another is not needed at the expense of destroying natural wildlife, trees, endangered bats, historical buildings and streams.

Have environmental studies even been done? Natural habitat and a beautiful area will be destroyed with this completely unnecessary and unplanned extension. Too much growth too fast is degrading our community feel, family life outdoors in nature and property value. Not to mention ongoing maintenance costs.

We don’t need any more development ….. that’s enough ……. Population explode !!! ……. Traffic is bad !!!!

Preservation of nature and historic sites.

No advantage to building this road, there are plenty of roads that tap into DD.
Use the money to widen DD.

It's the same type of intrusion that the City of Wildwood was incorporated to preempt the ill-advised proposal to turn Hwy 109 into an outer belt analogous to I-270.

Environmental impact on current residents, wildlife, further forested areas cut down, wetland destruction. No real reason for the suggested changes once again.

We are destroying natural habitat for wildlife, sending predators into our neighborhoods. Moreover, there will be more runoff into streams, creating flooding. When you remove trees, you eliminate the cooling effects as well as add to noise and air pollution. Light pollution causes disruption to bird migration.

It doesn’t seem like there is a real need or that this would have a positive large impact on the people in this area. Seems unnecessary and expensive.

I am opposed to additions of auto traffic to our rural community and destruction of natural land to accommodate this traffic.

Save integrety of open space.

I live in the area and agree with the concerns as expressed in the petition.

I live a mile from the proposed extension. It will be of little benefit while further harming wildlife in our beautiful area

Too much traffic. Too much development. Not needed.

Too much land has already been taken to build new subdivisions etc. We need to preserve our natural land or St. Charles County will end up looking like other less attractive parts of our city. People move out here to get away from all of that.

The 2 lane highways & roads around this area need to be improved with shoulders & turn lanes added BEFORE making connections that will add a large amount of traffic. For many of us living off Hwys D & DD, these arteries are our only routes to access I-64, Hwy 94, & shopping in Lake St Louis & O'Fallon. Improve the existing arteries before, not after extending LSL Blvd. Also improve Hwy N first instead of providing an outlet into Hwy DD for the traffic problem already created with the strategy to put in houses first & worry about the roads later.

As a taxpayer, the cost vs value proposition just isn't in the right ratio for myself. Yes, there could be some benefit to a few folks, but the overall cost (both tangible and intangible) outweigh the benefits. In addition, many of the residents who would actually use this new roadway seem to not be support as well. Lastly, this seems like it can always been done a later date too. If a compelling need really is noticed in the future, maybe the support would exist at that point in time to make a run at it.

The nature trail in an amenity that our family uses often. It’s home to a lot of animals taking their habitat away is unnecessary. There are other options that could be done. It’s not necessary to take Preston Woods nature trail away to make it happen.

To much growth in a previous rural area. Preserve some countryside and value to our acreage lots.

I’m opposed to the unnecessary misuse of our rural land and it’s negative impact on our homes and surrounding areas.

We are situated directly adjacent to the new Lake Saint Louis Boulevard. The unnecessary destruction of wildlife and trees in this undertaking is concerning, all for the sake of minor convenience for a select few individuals. The charm of this region is being compromised in the name of progress and financial gain. When is enough enough.
