Traffic issue and lowering the qualify of life for existing residence within the surrounding subdivisions.
We want to save our neighborhood trail
I live here in the affected subdivision .
Preservation of natural habitat.
Traffic and noise issues around the subdivision. It is already hard enough to make a left turn out of my street to Paul Renaud in the morning hour heading to Liberty and there is already heavy traffic between countryshire and Liberty. Our subdivision has sidewalks and a playground by Paul Renaud and the extension will invite more cars into our subdivision which makes it unsafe for children at play or walkers.
Will disrupt the delicate balance and beauty of the area.
Roads cannot take more cars without widening!
I’ve lived in the area since 1982. The City of O’Fallon is destroying the natural beauty of this area. And changing the rules to get what they want, as well as developers. Stay north of highway 64 or respect the 3 acre lots.
To keep local animal population and green space in an increasingly overdeveloped area
Don’t want the noise and congestion up and down LSL Blvd.
Destruction of an important natural conservation area of land based on a 2019 Traffic study is absurd. The flow of development has now shifted to the west towards Highway N and Wentzville. To ask taxpayers to spend a TON of money to relieve traffic at this area, destroying 2 natural springs that are tributaries to Dardenne Creek, destroying 2 summer breeding habitats for endangered bats. Paving over land that could potentially be a possible listing on the Natural Register of Historical Places with our ancestors the Hopewell African American Community.
This study that was conducted 6 years ago is outdated and it's conclusions are no longer applicable for the area at this time.
I live right next to the extension location
I am opposed to the proposed road project due to the destruction of rural property and the expense of constructing and maintaining the road. The outcome does not appear to eliminate congestion but rather create more traffic in an area which is home to much wildlife.
I live off of Paul Renaud near Diehr. I do not support these complex changes.
It will impact the natural areas like our
neighborhood trail and all the wildlife and plants in its path... Plus the cost to benefit doesn't seem worth it.
I have many extended family members that live and thrive off of this land that will go to the dump if it’s lost.
I would like to preserve the historical area. It would cause more traffic on DD which is already getting overwhelmed.
It effects my neighborhood and destroys the trees and walking trail.
We pay a big HOA to reside in Lake St Louis. It’s been a nice place to live, but all these apartments and expansions will lead to overcrowding our amenities. Huge increase already in traffic from when we moved here. No.
The roadway is not needed to ruin the area out here and the wildlife and wetlands needed for run off.
The roadway expansion is parallel to 2 other current roadways within a short distance. There appears to be insufficient traffic to justify the expansion of this section. Traffic behavior for added volume south of DD will continue to rely on Sommers Road to travel north on 64 and DD/Winghaven to travel south on 64. For most retail vehicular movement, Sommers Road will remain the main thoroughfare.
Our home backs up to the proposed path of this unwanted road. There is a walking trail that runs along the woods and one of the reasons we purchased our home was access to this trail away from busy street traffic. Our home was also sold by the development as a senic/woodland view premium and that would be no more if there was a road put in. What was the purpose of this road as there are already multiple options to get over to hwy DD without the need for additional roads and all the mess that comes with building them and eliminating the woods which is literally part of the subdivision name. Aside from displacing the wildlife that uses that area, there is also endangered bats that use this area as well. Not worth the tax dollars money when there are so many better options.
That road would completely ruin the eco system of the fresh water spring and the wild life in that area. The road is not needed.
Historical landmarks, threatened wildlife and rural resident impacts are significant. This proposal should be rejected or reworked and presented for a formal public approval to address the noted conflicts.
Project doesn't have enough benefit to warrant the expenditure. Any project requiring eminent domain in not a project people are asking for. If it were eminent domain would not be necessary.
I’m tired of irresponsible expansion without infrastructure improvements and hate to see the loss of our beautiful nature. Before long, there will be nothing but houses on top of houses.
To stop excessive traffic
It’s going to mess up my local roadways
It is destroying nature!
It affects my immediate family and I love nature and opposed to destroying an area where the bats help our neighbors alleviate mosquitoes
