There is already too much traffic on DD and I don't believe this will make much of an impact on other roads to justify it. I feel it's a bad use of my tax dollars
Because this development does not fit into our rural development
Been here quietly living for 47 years - now all this annexing and buliding is way out of hand - roads can't handle the number of people heading this way - and the people that were here first deserve to maintain what they came for - property, safety, quiet, peaceful.
To keep my small town a small town
While some growth is to be expected, the advancement of the amount of growth in this short amount of time is not being thought out.
We have too much development already!
To stop flooding in the area and stop increased traffic on hwy DD. We need to protect this natural habitat.
We moved out to Defiance to get away from all the hustle and bustle. Keep it green and rural.
I moved to Defiance to enjoy the quiet country life. We don't want the noise and and traffic congestion which also puts our wildlife at risk.
There is a blatant disregard by our local governments for what the residents of the area want for the area in which. we reside. There is not a need for this expansion. It’s time for the local government to listen to their constituents!
Quality of life in this area is being negatively impacted by the expansion and thoughtless development. There’s no care for the impact on our infrastructure or green space, pollution.
There is no real need for the extension. Displacing wildlife, disrupting the ecosystem and natural watershed, ruining subdivisions and trails, and taking property by eminent domain are among so many other reasons this extension should not happen.
Stop the rampant over development
To maintain the integrity of the area
The increased growth, high density housing without infrastructure growth first is unsustainable and done only for greed
This extension is not needed. Priority should be on preserving existing farmland and open space, not destroying it for a road that is not needed! The southwest portion of the county does not need "easier" access to Lake St. Louis.
Local residents & wildlife areas affected negatively
It’s important to save our small town feeling. Also, to assist with flight paths for birds, bees, butterflies etc. We are a lake community and would be bad if we drove away or killed our wildlife. Welcome to our Blvd of failure.
I want to save our beautiful rural landscape
Preserving natural habitats and standing up against developers. It is wrong to bend the rules when it’s beneficial for a specific group. The land was zoned the way it is for a reason and should not be changed.
Improvement not needed .
I moved to a rural community, I was told that the area wouldn't be developed due to zoning. The people south of highway 64 made a lifestyle choice based on zoning laws and now all that is threatened by developers. The area south of 64 is the most beautiful part of St. Charles county, I can't believe that the residents need to fight the government to protect it.
My family has been in the area since 1949. In that time we've seen the area go from a beautiful countryside to the brink of a Metropolitan area with disregard for the people or land. This won't alleviate issues here but rather compound them as more and drivers use it as an alternative to 40/61.
Lake Saint Louis is already losing too much natural habitat due to poorly planned housing developments. Expansion us important, but planning effectively to deal with expansion is paramount.
Tired of all the growth. Too many people and traffic.
I would like to preserve the rural community that I have moved to and supported
The current rural area of st Charles county should remain rural. This county has enough high density use areas.
I believe our community should maintain its rural aspects.
I want the integrity of this area and the lifestyle to remain in tact. Putting this extension through will tax an area that was not built for a massive amount of people.
To keep the growth of St. Charles county smart.
