I use the trail on a regular basis and do not want to see it taken away.
The extension will destroy established common ground and natural habitat for wildlife. It also destroys an existing community trail that multiple subdivision children use. The extension also creates significant safety risks for those same children. In order to proceed, the proposed route crosses established wetlands that is supplied by a natural spring. The county portion of the extensions destroys a documented historic site. Simply put, there is no reason for the extension given the damage and risks it will cause.
There is no need for this. I am for smart growth.
The trail is very important to my family. We use it often to unplug and reconnect with nature and each other
I do not want to see wetlands destroyed or the endanger bats in the area losing habitat. DD is not the place for a traffic circle. It is a highway!! This will negatively effect all residents in the area and flowing more more traffic through this rural highway that has no shoulders or police when the wrecks will occur is just stupid.
Trash and pollution entering the conservation area and streams, affecting wildlife and flora, along with watershed that goes to the Dardenne Creek and ultimately to the Missouri River.
This extension will negatively effect all residence in the area as well as endanger wildlife. The solution is not to destroy more land for more homes to be stacked one on top of the other. There is also not enough resources such as fire, police, and schools for more residence. This extension will just move the bottleneck a little further down on highway 40
Keep Western St. Charles County rural.
It will affect our area in a negative manor
Natural resources and historic relics will be destroyed only to bring increased traffic to DD, which can't handle the current load, not to mention the traffic from the subdivisions already in planning along DD.
Too much development and traffic and saving enough green space. See.s like we think we need to build on EVERY square inch of green space
Too much traffic on DD already, the road is not made for more traffic
The growth and lack of planning is a cluster. Traffic is already dangerous and under patrolled.
The roads and infrastructure can NOT handle the level of building that is transpiring in this area.
Adds traffic to rural areas, ruins forests
I believe this extension will negatively impact the area.
To slow growth in western SCC
Thank you Citizens for Smart Growth for making the peoples voice heard.
Because it is unnecessary environmental destruction for no reason.
Aside from the historical and environmental destruction the proposal brings, the project will also create a traffic issue on Hwy DD as this roadway is not in any position to handle an increase in traffic.
Concerned.about negative impacts
I’d like to see the growth in our area to be “controlled”. I’d love to have the people living in unincorporated St Charles County to have a voice.
I’d also like to see an impact tax for developers to take on the burden of infrastructure costs.
I am a resident of rural, unincorporated St. Charles County and am tired of all the farmland getting destroyed for subdivisions and buildings and I think it needs to stop--I don't see a reason to extend LSL Boulevard any further than it already is.
I want NO MORE CONSTRUCTION in my area.
Because it would harm important natural animal habitat and rural ambiance .
Because it would harm important natural animal habitat and rural ambiance .
Road safety, humans , farmers and animals not to mention the preservation of our green space.
We need to save the green land that is left. There isn’t much and it was once a beautiful area full of wildlife and serenity. Our area experiences some major traffic woes—especially for a suburban area—hold off on this project and fix the already problematic (at ANY time of day!) Hwy 40/70 interchange before adding more congestion to these areas. PLEASE. Let’s look at the major issues we are already facing and wait for them to take place and settle in before adding fuel to the fire with another extension, more plans to build, more traffic to the area. We need *some* green space and so does our wilderness.
There is no need to add an extension that threatens to disrupt a peaceful residential area. This addition will bring pollution and destroy wildlife. I'm tired of seeing acre after acre of land being turned into stores gastations and bridges. Ofallon is a nice place to leave, I just wish you would leave it be.
This extension has no benefit to our neighborhood and in fact destroys the peace and tranquility we currently have with our beautiful walking path. The extension will cause dangerous situations for our children as more traffic will enter our neighborhood. It will also cause crime to increase as criminals will have quick access to the back of our community. I also hate that it will destroy the beautiful habitat of a endangered bat and other wildlife!
